Doctors and health experts say you should drink at least 8 glasses of water
a day. Why?
One of the roles of water within the body is to flush out toxins from within
the system. Hence not drinking enough water may reduce this process and
create a body which feels sluggish and tired.
Water also plays a role in lubricating the brain. Without a ready supply
the brain (surrounding fluid) can "dehydrate" causing the brain
to reduce in size!!
Alcohol is another cause of dehydration - this is why we all have a banging
headache the morning after the night before.
If drinking 8 glasses of still water fills you with dread then why not jazz
it up a little. Buy sparkling / carbonated water. Add low sugar flavours.
Buy low caffeine diet fizzy drinks etc. Just make sure you drink enough.
