More than 50 % of people in the UK own mobile phones. We use them for
business calls, for personal calls and of course to TXT our friends.
However, are we aware of the dangers behind the small, friendly, stylish devises?
Radio waves have been used in communication for over 100 years. Yet the
boom in mobile phones sales has dramatically increased our expose to radio
waves on a daily basis.
The government has set out industry guidelines which must be met by phone
networks in order to control the amount of radio waves exposure we are faced
with. It seems that these guidelines are being met.
Despite this is seems that the brains activity differs when we come into
contact with mobile phones. At this stage the research available is unsure
way this happens.
What is known is that this effect maybe even more prevalent in the young
- due perhaps to the pre-maturation of the brain at this stage.
- Aim to keep all calls short
- Children should only use mobile phones when essential
- Consider SAR (safe absorption rates) when buying a new phone.
